I have to admit, I was a little disappointed when I first opened the box. The lenses are much more mirrored and the frames are a lighter silver color than what they appeared to be in the photo. When you put them on, the frames curve out far from the sides of the temple area, which took me some getting used to. It almost felt like I was wearing a mini hula hoop on my head. I guess the purpose is to prevent that tan line along the sides of your head when you wear them out in the sun a lot??
